Day Three
June 22, 2008
Coast to Coast to Coast USA Alger Tour of America
On the road again. Fruitland, ID to Jackson Hole, WY. 425 miles or so. More beautiful country. Lots of potatoes being grown in Idaho. It seems like we crossed the Snake River about 50 times. Found a good place for lunch today in Pocatella, ID. Had some potatoes, of course. Aunt Diane also had deep-fried, breaded, Steak Fingers. Yum Yum!
The mountains are very pretty.
Welcome to Wyoming! State #4 for Spike. Number 25 for Grace and Russell. Number 38 for Aunt Diane. I've already been here. I'm up to 48 states now. We're off to Yellowstone tomorrow. More posts to follow.

Sounds like you are all having a great time! Even Spike! Ben can't wait to play with his cousins next week. Have a great week on the road. I love the snow still in OR.
What am exciting phone call from Aunt Diane last night. I love the snow in Oregon and I love the pictures. Keep em coming.
See you on the fourth of July!!!!
Hi Captain John and crew -
I'm happy to be following your travels and adventures. The mountains look gorgeous. Are you using the new fangled map software gizmos or are you using old-fashioned (but very reliable) maps?
I'm drinking a Heineken in your honor.

Go You Algers. We are following the northern western leg with much interest.
Deep-fried breaded steak fingers? Man that sounds good. Hope she had french fries with that.
Hi to the travelers,
I am proud to see that you were able to find the trail that was originally blazed by the true intrepid traveler that miraculously brought her family through the tough territory of the western US bringing them safely home in time for a dance on Sunday night!
Isn't Yellowstone amazing! I kept thinking about what the first settlers coming west in their wagons thought when they got there - and no, that wasn't the group I was traveling with!
Have fun, enjoy the sights and each other. Keep adding states and always remember
MICHIGAN OR BUST!!!
Put Grace on the horn. That is, on the keyboard. I want to hear about this extravaganza from someone with his/her head screwed on straight!
Living vicariously through your travels, as always--

Don't tell Ethan that I've assumed his identity. That's a little too twisted for a pre-teen boy to handle.
I'll have to figure out how to be MYSELF out here in blogger land.
Hope you have a great Day 4--
Sarah
Who ARE you, Wanderlust!?
