Day 21
July 10, 2008
Coast to Coast to Coast USA Alger Tour of America 200
Hello Everyone,
Day 21 started out extricating The Big Rig from our parking arrangements at Big Thatch. That only took about 20 minutes but we got under way eventually. We were expecting The Sharps to come out and give us a big send off but I think Shari may have been suffering from "red wine syndrome" and was content to remain inside where the airco was going strong.
Two more states, SC & GA were added to the list today as we made our way to Grandma Karen's in Atlanta. Only 420 miles today and most of them were westerly on I-85. At one point, Grace made the comment that "we're headed home now Daddy!" I think she may be tiring of all the riding but she's still excited about the two remaining weeks. We've covered 5500+ miles so far with only about 3500 more to go. Today was Heather's last big ride in The Big Rig and we'll be sad to see her go on Sunday but we are looking forward to gathering CoPilot #3, JohnMan Horton and his girls, Maggie & Alice next Thursday (?) in OK City. Get packing Oom Schoon!

Glad to see you are all having fun. Enjoy your party tonight and Hi to Karen.
Loved the pics from the lake. So cute of everyone on the dock.
We are celebrating birthday weekend here. Jessica will be home shortly. It has been quite a while since she has been here so am looking forward to that and celebrating their birthday!

Sounds like you guys are having a great time. We had quite the heat wave here last week ... it got to 105 degrees here in Moraga, but has started to cool down again to around 83 degrees. Even after thorough watering, a few of your flowers (and most of ours) got cooked but overall have recovered well.
Blanch (I renamed Russell's crayfish for the time being) is doing well but his/her water needs to be changed/refilled. Please let me know how to do it ... I know that some sort of additive is used.
See you soon,
Suzanne
Hi Suzanne!
I'll be back Sunday night and will change Blanch's water. Thanks for everything.
Cheers,
Heather
