A Weekend at Grandma's
July 10-13, 2008
Coast to Coast to Coast USA Alger Tour of America 2008
Dear Everyone,
Driving from NC to Peachtree City, GA found us for a few days at Grandma Karen's house with no Big Rig plans, at least for a few days. We had a great time sleeping in real beds with a real roof over our heads. We did some cleaning of The Big Rig, visited Grandma's bookstore, went to the movies, and saw lots of our people. Grace had a "funtastic time" while Russell commented on "all the good food Grandma made." It's always great to be at Grandma Karen's house but the real kicker this time was a big party on Saturday afternoon. Uncle Matt and Aunt Theresa were there as well as the Crazy Aunts Suzy and Pat. Uncle Jeff and Aunt Elaine came with Cousins Michael, Josh, Brandi, and Crystal. And we got to meet Brandon, Jeff and Elaine's grandson. The food was great and there was plenty of beer. We did a little fishing and lots of gabbing. Thanks for the party Grandma!
Heather with her Mom. Are they cut from the same bolt of cloth or what? Pure Beauty!
We dropped Heather off at the airport for her flight home on our way to Nashville. Goodbye CoPilot #2. Thanks for joining us on The Big Rig! We Love You!
Thanks Grandma for all the good food and all of the hugs. We Love You Too!

PS I tried to include more pictures of more friends and family but had a hard time getting even these to upload. If your picture isn't here it wasn't for lack of trying. It was great seeing everybody in GA!

I love you, too.
I am now safe at home after leaving Grandma's 14 hours ago. Darned thunderstorm. Wish we'd get one here in California.
Love,

Off to earn money for your gas bill.
We made it home too, and it only took us about 8 hours. Gosh the ATL airport was a fun place to be last night. We wound up having a romantic dinner of Moe's burritoes while sitting on the tile floor in the middle of Concourse C, while a few thousand harried tourists stepped over and around us. Oh well, the weekend was well worth the travel. Great to see y'all and we love you too! Matt and Theresa.
Glad y'all made it home. We're off to KY & MO today. Going to cross the Mighty Mississippi. Wish us luck. Will blog from Carruthersville tonight. Staying at a casino so will attempt to turn my $24 into a big wad of cash. Hope they have child and dog care.

The tour looks like plenty of fun. There are lots of Aunts on your trip!! Heather's Mom looks younger than you, John:)
Russell - are you reading the maps for Dad?
Grace - please keep writing, I enjoy your perspective - and humor.
We got your postcards-- we are heading to Boston and New York next week for some baseball (Fenway & Yankee Stadium), food and fun.
Have you found many good diners along the way?
Talk to you soon,
